All applicants for a (class C) basic Texas drivers license permit must pass a written driving test. The written driving test is comprised of two parts. The first part is a rules test where you need to score 70% correct or better to pass the test. The second part is a traffic signs test where you need to score 70% correct or better to pass. Getting some driver ed is a good decision before taking the permit test. If you take the time to study and prepare with the right information you will have a much better chance of success.
Lines can be quite long so make sure you have enough time set aside in your day to get to the test and complete it. Remember that most people who take the written driver permit test fail it the first time. Failing the exam certainly does not mean that you are bad driver, but it does mean you were not prepared for the test with the driver ed learned skills necessary to pass. Give yourself those skills by practicing with over 1000 driving questions here on our site. You deserve the edge!
